INTRODUCTION FROM THE HEAD PROGRAM
Bismillahirrahmanirrahiim
Assalamu’alaikum wr. wb.
One effort to face the challenge of rapidly
development of knowledge, technology and information is by preparing human
resources that adept and possess integrity. Islamic University of Indonesia
(IUI) as a high education institution feels an obligation to prepare such human
resources. Based on a responsibility to prepare such human resources, one
program of IUI, namely Postgraduate of Islamic Studies (PIS) plays an active
role and proactive to prepare good skilled human resources, especially in
Islamic Economics and Islamic Education fields.
Since its establishment, on
September 1997, IUI Postgraduate of Islamic Studies has possessed mission and
peculiarity, namely courses that include Islamic Economic and Islamic Education.
Both fields of study are established in the light of that Islamic Education and
Islamic Economics have an important and strategic role in the future.
Noticing the chart of society participation undertaking
postgraduate program at PIS-IUI year to year that getting higher from years, we
are optimist and encouraged to keep on doing the best. Because of that MSI UII,
that already obtain Eminent accreditation from BAN, will keep on examining,
developing and completing management, education staff and curriculum and
concentrated program.
Concerning curriculum we will always
develop it in order graduate alumni that have good skill and ready to face every
challenge and change, both the changes in education ground and economics
development. Particularly in concentrated studies, we will always do
exploration, and in the nearly time, we expectedly will open the field of study
of Islamic banking.
We are very proud of our achievement but not
in any way complecant. New and improved service for our staff and students are
constantly being upgraded. State-of-art facilities are being built and developed
each year.
This Profile is a mean to give
information to the society in regard of MSI UII, say its structure of
management, and how to build infra structure in order to achieve its mission,
vision and objectives. This profile also describes MSI so far this profile is
written in three languages (English, Arabic and Indonesian) in accordance with
long and short-term development plan of MSI UII.
We acknowledge that this profile can
not give every detailed information regarding MSI UII, especially in technical
administrative. Nevertheless, this profile can describes the identity of MSI UII
as a high education institution exists in the society.
Finally, we expect support and participation from all parties to make MSI UII
mission, vision and objectives successful. Amen.
